It’s not a secret that confidence is a huge asset. It boosts motivation and resilience and reduces stress and anxiety, all of which accelerate academic and professional success, whilst boosting personal growth. 📈 So why do we all seem to lack confidence in our abilities? When hosting the team at Sanofi we asked if anyone was feeling either anxious or nervous at painting the ‘BEE-utiful Bee’ artwork and it was no surprise when about 80% of the participants in the room raised their hand very tentatively. 💁‍♂️ Growing up our teachers, friends, siblings, parents, and even the media send us positive and negative messages about ourselves. For some reason, the message that ‘you are not good enough’ is the one that stays with us through the years. When our confidence is low, we slip into negative self-talk. Our inner dialogue becomes clouded with doubts and judgements, sabotaging us from the inside out. 😑 Painting is a great way to challenge these initial thoughts and perceptions about ourselves and through our step-by-step creative process we are able to change the narrative that has been created in our own minds. 🧠 Confidence can shape the way we communicate and navigate in the real world, so there is no bigger reward to watch our guests go from... “I cant paint”…to “I can’t believe I made this!” 🙌🏆 #CreativeConfidence #TeamSocial #MentalHealth #CorporateWellbeing #ArtSippersChallenge

Before all the madness... safe to say we didn't look like this at the end!🤪 Notting Hill Carnival has always been such a positive uplifting vibe. 💕 As seen earlier we joined the NHC j'ouvert early on Sunday morning for the crazy paint powder party! This was completely free, you just bring your paints and don't wear your best! 😅 #BabyWiiiipes Around 11am we joined a mas band. This is where you can follow a float and 'play mas' along the kaleidoscopic parade route at Carnival. Great if you want to dance the whole route without getting stuck in the thick of the crowds and want unlimited sips.🥃 We joined 'Tears Mas' this year and anyone from the general public can get involved. Usually from £30-£90 depending on the bundle you get.😉 Carnival Monday hosts the biggest parties, so we decided to head to the soundsystems. These are static stages dotted on every corner around the whole area, hosting an array of live performance and DJ sets. 🙌🎵 Whether you like old-school reggae, bashment, hip hop, funk, Latin, gospel, soulful house, ska or rock-n-roll... there's a soundsystem for you that will get your body moving. ALL FREE. 🕺 85,000 steps later... we ended the weekend with some traditional carribean food - Jerk chicken, rice & peas.😍🍗 #FingerLickin If you have ever though t about heading to the carnival... but thought "I'm not the carnival type" people tell us the same thing about art "I'm not the creative type" 🎨🖌 So that is why we say just give it a try... or F*%k IT! After two plus years of online events... It was sooo good to finally meetup in the flesh with one of our fave sippers @kit_kat_cupcake🤗 🍫 We actually pinched each other to check that we were real. 😅 Kit-Kat has pretty much painted every night with us since the third virtual show we did back in 2020! This year we decided to stop burying our heads in the sand and finally sort our sh*t out aka our messy finances! 😅 Creativity is what we love 💟 but financial literacy is 100% what we NEED to get better at... it's definitely one of the weaker points for both of us 😫 Why don't they teach this stuff in schools!? With many businesses evolving to a new flexible hybrid working style, where an employee can split their time between: the workplace and remote working. There has be an increasing demand to offer hybrid events solutions which give the best of both in-person and virtual experiences to match this changing landscape. Nothing beats human interaction! Yet, with many teams scattered across the country and with several offices abroad in different time zones, bringing everyone together can be a bit of a pain. Abcam were excited to be our first client to try out our new hybrid offering. Big up to the IT team who managed to get us setup on two big screens 🖥 allowing the creative event to be beamed live to the UK team office in Cambridge and for others joining in at home. 🏡 We had the pleasure of meeting up with Christele Wharfe née Vacca and her family last year at Cloud Nine Glamping in Dorset. Her son Gabriel was a little Picasso in the making, he even gave me and Josie Pitcher a few artworks to take home. 🎨🖌️ Fast forward 12months and we got the chance to catch up with this adorable family over face-time. Gabriel is now a prolific drawer and even showed us his new sketches! Funny how this brief encounter has now lead to our first hybrid experience with Abcam - Connection is about human interaction, and if you invest in relationships, the other person can get to know you and what you have to offer.
